We paid our bill off in dollars at the desk - was very easy to do & avoid charge on credit card.
Everything on RCI is in US$.
Hello…..You can get sterling changed on the ship into US dollars but it is better to take dollars with you or better still is to charge it to a Nationwide card, making sure that they charge it in dollars. Nationwide have a very good rate of exchange and you will gain substancially by doing this. Hope this is of help....Heathe.
If you're paying cash, you can use Sterling if you wish, but the exchange rate offered on board is quite a bit worse than you'd get at your local Bureau de Change. I'd recommend you change some Sterling to US Dollars before embarking on your cruise.
The best option is really to pay by credit/debit card.
This question is to heather bonnette, locks heath who answered my question about cash on the RCI. when you say you get a better deal with a nationwide card do you mean cash card or credit card. Power Bolto.
I use a nationwide credit on all foreign holidays as it is good value, you can pay by us dollars for your on board account but onshore visiting various ports it is the Euro Regards Iren.
