The ship will dock in Civitavecchia for Rome. About 10 minute walk to train station, and then about one hour on train, straight into Rome, very easy, Monte Carlo. From Villefranche about five minute walk to train. One direction you can go to Nice, and in the other direction to Monte Carlo. Abut 20 minutes or so. Again very easy.
