Please can you help what to expect on our cruise, from Beijing down to Bangkok,on the Sapphire Princess on 2nd Dec 2007 weather, clothes, ship etc we are both over 65
Have look at Cunard, Fred Olsen and Saga cruises.
The Ports in the carribbean tend to have town centers very close to where the ships berth unlike some of the ports of call in Europe. There are usually plenty taxis available too. They might find it easier to do their own thing rather than go on organised shore excursions which can be expensive and very tiring. At least when you are doing your own thing, you can return to the ship when you are tired out. That said if they would rather be on an organised shore excursion, the tour programmes usually indicate whether there is a lot of walking or rough ground, so they would be able to avoid these and go more for trips where the bus stops close to the sight/place of interes.
Definitely SAGA it is for the over 50s and there are a lot of people who need help of some kind or another and there is always someone there with a very good understanding of how to help them. Either Saga Rose or Saga Ruby the ships are not too big and makes it easier to get around.
