No, RCI offer the soda package that is $6pppd for adults and $4pppd for children. They no longer offer a alcohol package - they do however offer you the chance for the wine and dine package where you can buy 5, 7 10 or 12 blts of wine that work out slightly cheaper. The package comes in 3 levels, Gold, Platinum and Diamond with each package having a wider [better] selection. For example the Platinum package for 7 days is $250.

We paid (this July) £201 for 12 bottles of wine, think it was the platinum package. The wine we had would have been about £18.70 a bottle to which I think they add 15% service, so we saved about £57, the good thing about this package as you can take the wine to your room after dinner (if you want) also you can order a bottle of wine from the wine bar, pub ect while on board, if you don't drink all 12 bottles the rest you can take when you leave. We thought this was a good deal as all the wine on board is quite expensive. Carol Navigator of the seas 28/07/2007 - 11/08/200.

We always buy the soft drinks package as soon as we arrive on board $6 per day unlimited soft drinks, well worth it in our opinion . Did not find alchohol prices too bad at all. June and Charles Robertso.

We have done 2 RCI cruises this summer. They do a wine package for the dinning table, We worked it out that having the 7 bottle package worked out very little cheaper than deciding if you wanted one by the evening. Drinks on the ship work out about the same price as England Pub prices but they add 15% service charge on top. If you are not big drinkers then dont worry. We just had a ocktail drink when we felt like it and an odd bottle of wine and it never broke the bank.

Just returned from the Jewel of the Seas, Royal Caribbean and they do do a wine and beer package. The soda package is value for money but we found we didn't save (or lose) on the alcohol packages as we didn't drink enough.
