All P&O ships have coffee and tea making things in your cabin. On our last trip on Oriana there was even a coffee pod machine in our minisuite. I understand that P&O will shortly be putting a cafetiere and a proper tea pot in their cabins rather than sachets of tea and coffee to mix with boiling water. We like being able to make tea or coffee when we wish without bothering to call room service.
You’ll probably find it is just a matter how the cruise line wants to deal with the service it provides. The provision of this facility has certain ramifications in that; there is valuable space taken up, more possibility of accidents, longer cleaning up time, setting the wrong image for the line and providing a facility that is often unused. I know it is often easier to diy but it doesn’t normally take long for it to be delivered to your “stateroom” and then they only have to provide for the few who want it. So either way there are benefits……This is just my view Regards….Id.
