I've never heard P & O described so accurately before! But to be serious although many of P & Os clientele can be fixed in their ways there are a good number more agile passengers on board but they are probably not your average party-going crowd. My opinion is that with her scepticism and your wit you would enjoy a cruise with NCL, Royal Caribbean, Holland America Celebrity or better still if you are a true "party animal" then Carnival is the company for you but you have to like the raz-a-mataz and whooping and hooping a lot more than I do. Hope this helps.....Nei.
Thanks Neil we are not really party animals we just dont want to be stuck cruise ship smelling of moth balls and perm set!! ;) Thanks for you response matey! I need to do a bit more investigation!
I'd skip P&O and go for NCL or RCI for a younger crowd. If you want a classier crowd go with Celebrity.
Messrs Aldrich and Down are right on the money with their advice - definitely avoid P&0 and Fred Olsen- both very average and for the 50+ mass market.Trouble is their devotees try no other and swear by them!! RCI is very activity oriented but also very children oriented and a good level rather than an excellent level. Celebrity is much higher level in respect of food and atmosphere but less for party animals as well.Only other compromise might be Princess.
