If you are giving extra they won't mind what the currency is as the can bank or spend US dollars and Euros. With regard to the norovirus from the information I have three cruises were affected by this back in June and July but I have heard of no further outbreak on Sea Princess but you are mistaken thinking other ships are not affected as often, it is still quite prevalent at sea and some caused by passengers blatantly refusing hand sprays and general hygiene, if you watch others you will see this for yourself ....Neil Dow.

We tipped in euros so they could spend it if they went ashore , but I'm sure they don't mind..
