We were on Legend of the Seas this summer, it was our first cruise, so I can't compaire it against other ships, but our friends we were sailing with had done many cruises. We all had a great time, none of us thought the ship was unclean and to me it didn't particularly need a refurbishment. With regards to children, we went in August so expected to see lots of children on board, but to be honest if there were lots you didn't notice them - you are going early March before the English Easter holidays so I don't expect there will be many children on the ship. The staff all went out of their way to make you feel welcome and to have a wonderful holiday. We had such a great time we have booked to go on a 2nd cruise next summer with Royal Caribbean. On our return this summer I read mixed reviews about the actual holiday we had just been on and couldn't relate to some of the comments - I think if you go with a positive attitude you will have a great time, nothing in life is perfect but if you go looking for faults you will probably find them. Go and have a great holiday the caribbean sounds fantastic - enjoy.

We went on Legend last year, and found it to be of a comparable standard to P & O. I wouldn't worry TOO much about there being loads of children on board, as you are travelling before the easter break. Most children old enough to 'rampage' will still be in school.

With the weather great don't worry about ship. Legend is not bad. If you do have complaints don't expect any action from RCI. You are treated better by RCI in the caribbean than over in the Med. Better to have booked with Celebrity but you will have a great time.

We sailed Legend of the Seas August of this year. We found the ship very clean. Staff very helpful. Yes there were children on board but overall they were very well behaved. We sailed around the med. Most children will have already had there half term break by march and will be back at school.

We have been on the Legend twice and would not choose it if we could find something else. We were in the Med - School hols - and there were in excess of 300 kids on board. The ship was tired-broken lamp fitting in our JSuite- never fixed. Also although the food was good we found the portions small and 3 courses only. Even afternoon tea in the Windjammer was frugal. The best part was the entertainment which was of a high standard but in the Caribbean you will of course have acts from the USA. M.G. Berr.

We are an 'older' couple who sailed on Legend of the Seas last year and had a wonderful time. It was kept spotlessly clean. We did not know there were any children on board until we disembarked!! Only grumble we had was that the food was so good that we put on too much weight.

I cruised on Legend in the summer - she is a gorgeous ship and is in fantastic condition. I would select her again in an instant. As for children - well thankfully she does not have the child-attracting facilities of the bigger ships such as iceskating etc - but on the downside the cruise out of the Dom Rep that you are doing has been sold at such cheap prices in the UK with the added benefit/ease of the Gatwick Charter flights it may indeed attract families. Best guide line is to check when school holidays are which I think your dates may avoid.

We were on the Legend Sept 07 and found it does need refurbishment of furniture only. The atruim was beautiful. Our inside cabin was small, but very clean with everything you needed it, even had a small couch! The food in the first week was bland and boring but very much improved the 2nd. Service in all areas great. Entertainment great. There were children but they were very well behaved. You will have a great time. Gordons, Glasgow.
